Flower power easel card

Flower power easel card

I’ve finally tried adding flower embellishments to a card!

I have an age to add to the circle once I know the recipient of the card! I used distress inks and perfect pearls to do the background for the LOTV stamp. Image was coloured with Promarkers. The flowers are all WOC. I added a couple of gems to the flowers in her hair.

I used glitter spray on all the yellow card.

I used this wonderful inspiration picture for this card.

This gave me tons of ideas and I came up with this card.

I used the colour picker on Craft Artist to match my paper colours to the inspiration picture and used ideas from it for the papers.

The central paper is stripes to match the tablecolth and I made it and added the frames and sentiment in Craft Artist. I used a LOTV die cut and recoloured it with Promarkers to match the inspiration photo colours. I used tattered rose distress ink inside the frames and around the die cut. I coloured clear gems with Promarker for the cake cherries.

The ribbon paper with cupcakes was made on the computer. The next layer down was made to look like petal wallpaper like the wall in the picture. The background paper was also made on computer and features cupcakes. I coloured some more gems for the backing paper to add some zing!

Get well card

Get well card

This card is for an inspirational lady who has been battling cancer.

I colour matched and printed my papers. I used a LOTV die cut on some dark blue shiny card from stash and I used a MS butterfly punch for rhe top.

I printed matched paper for the back of the card. I used Craft Artist to make the paper with a lace and flower frame and added a white frame in the centre to write my message on.

This is the card base. I typed and printed my sentiment “Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves”. I layered fabric flowers, placed flower pins through the middle and bent them round before attching them to the card.

It’s a bit like Narnia

It’s a bit like Narnia

This LOTV die cut makes me think of Narnia becuase there is a postbox in the middle of the woods! I thought of using it when I saw some lovely tree inspiration photos for challenges. I used a great sketch but had to flip the embellishments so I didn’t cover the best bits of my background layer! I used distress ink around the edges of the card.

The tree paper was from stash and the snowflake paper was from the Snowman selection. I also used black card from stash.

I used my LOTV let it snow sentiment stamped in blue with added stickles and pearls. I punched two black snowflakes, added silver ink over the top, cut them up and stuck them to the back of the sentiment.
My snowflake embellishments were punches from blue glitter paper and black paper with added silver ink effect. I stuck them together and on two of them added a blue snowflake gem and to the third I added a bead that looks like a snowball with glossy accents and added some pearls.

Flying in a Winter wonderland

Flying in a Winter wonderland

Used this lovely Winter fairy digi stamp for another Christmas card. I was trying to use up some scraps from previous cards in colours I don’t use so much.

I made the snowflake paper for a challenge and wanted to use it up. The light blue card was scraps. The card, image, sentiment and snowflakes are all different shapes to fit the challenges.

I coloured the Winter fairy digi with Promarkers and added some glitter using stickles. I stamped the LOTV sentiment and mounted it on a snowflake punched from scrap glittery blue card.

I made the snowflakes by punching 4 from green, rust and light blue slitter scrap paper. I also used disterss inks and a watercolour brush on white scrap paper and used that for the last snowflakes. I layered the snowflakes and added the blue embellishment from stash (kept forgetting I had them!).

I embossed the thin light blue scrap paper with snowflakes and highlighted with blue ink. I used a ribbon punch and threaded some scrap ribbon through. I added faux stitching with a Promarker and more embellishments.

Warm and cosy

Warm and cosy

A warm and cosy Christmas card.

I used an LOTV die cut and sentiment. This is the ultimate warm and cosy picture!!

I made the snowflake embellishment by punching two snowflakes on matching papers. I decorated it with glitter glue and added the gems.
I cut and offset the circles abd I embossed the top one with a swirl pattern and highlighted it with red distress ink.

The LOTV sentiment is ‘warmest thoughts and best wishes’. I used a MS punch on the horizontal paper.

More snowfakes and sparkle!

More snowfakes and sparkle!

I used Craft Artist software to match the colours in the inspiration photo for the colour create challenge and then printed the papers.

I used a LOTV die cut and sentiment but recoloured to get a better match for the colours I wanted.

I used my snowflake punch again to cut snowflakes in shiny grey and glittery lilac paper. I then curled them slightly, layered them at an angle and stuck a lilac gem in the middle.

Let it snow!

Let it snow!

Another Christmas card using a beautiful LOTV die cut with cute penguins holding their Let It Snow banner (can’t afford to get many stamps so these die cuts are great!) and LOTV Let It Snow sentiment stamped in red distress ink. I used sticky pearls for snowflakes and highlighted the snow and snowflakes on the sentiment with white stickles.

I’ve made my first snowflake embellishments using a snowflake punch on some shiny and frosted cards together. I took some left over flower pins from my wedding (from Michael Dark) and cut off the heads to fix to the middle of the snowflakes using glossy accents.
I also used left overorganza ribbon from the wedding.
