Distressed dragon!

Distressed dragon!

Another card featuring my new Autumn Happiness digi. The colours are from gorgeous inspiration photos (see below).

I blended purple distress ink round the outside of the card and on the sentiment card. I ripped the textured purple paper layer. I made the leaf with orange cross stitch layer using Craft Artist on my computer and then used green distress ink blotted around the outside with a sponge.

I coloured my digi with Promarkers. I stamped my LOTV sentiment using purple ink onto my purple distressed card.

Flying in a Winter wonderland

Flying in a Winter wonderland

Used this lovely Winter fairy digi stamp for another Christmas card. I was trying to use up some scraps from previous cards in colours I don’t use so much.

I made the snowflake paper for a challenge and wanted to use it up. The light blue card was scraps. The card, image, sentiment and snowflakes are all different shapes to fit the challenges.

I coloured the Winter fairy digi with Promarkers and added some glitter using stickles. I stamped the LOTV sentiment and mounted it on a snowflake punched from scrap glittery blue card.

I made the snowflakes by punching 4 from green, rust and light blue slitter scrap paper. I also used disterss inks and a watercolour brush on white scrap paper and used that for the last snowflakes. I layered the snowflakes and added the blue embellishment from stash (kept forgetting I had them!).

I embossed the thin light blue scrap paper with snowflakes and highlighted with blue ink. I used a ribbon punch and threaded some scrap ribbon through. I added faux stitching with a Promarker and more embellishments.

When the red red robin comes bob bob bobbing along!

Another Christmas card which is robintastic!!

I made the snowflake background paper for the lowest layer using Craft Artist and colour matched them to the colours for the Crafy Chick challenge.

The other papers.,tag and robin were all freebies with a magazine. I used a light green gem brad to attch the tag to the card.

Warm and cosy

Warm and cosy

A warm and cosy Christmas card.

I used an LOTV die cut and sentiment. This is the ultimate warm and cosy picture!!

I made the snowflake embellishment by punching two snowflakes on matching papers. I decorated it with glitter glue and added the gems.
I cut and offset the circles abd I embossed the top one with a swirl pattern and highlighted it with red distress ink.

The LOTV sentiment is ‘warmest thoughts and best wishes’. I used a MS punch on the horizontal paper.

From tea to leaves

From tea to leaves

With walks in the woods and all the challenges with great Autumnal colours and pictures you can hardly fail to be inspired.

I used the colour picker on CraftArtist to match the autumnal colours from the inspiration and colour challenge photos (seee photos at end of post!!) I then made the various leaf papers using the colours (using either leaf backgrounds coloured using my pallete or using the falling leaves brush). I then added the faux stitching on computer and colour matched it. I also played around and made the tag. I then printed the papers and elements off.

I stamped the tag with my LOTV Wishing you sunshine all year through stamp with brown ink. I used a clear brad and coloured it with Pumkin Promarker to match the card which I used to fix the tag. I had to swap the orientation of this for the layout I was using as it didn’t look right on the bottom right corner (hope that it is still ok for the challenge!)

I used the Autumn Hapiness digi stamp from Wee Stamps (so cute!!). I coloured using Promarkers and felt I did a good job of matching them for the colour challenge. I also tried colouring the background using a technique I saw in a Letraset demo on Create and Craft tv to hint at the sky and ground without using solid colour.

I was inspired by lots of challenges so I may as well enter them all! Thanks to all these challenge blogs for firing my imagination.

A nice cup of tea!

A nice cup of tea!

I wanted to make a card for a female friend who is very supportive and we enjoy chatting over a cup of tea. I thought a vintage/ distressed look was appropriate. I thik this is real girl power- the support we give each other!

I used a LOTV die cut but added in some extra colour using Promarkers in a couple of places and added  Background too. Papers were from stash and the cream card at the back was coloured using brown distress ink as were the edges of the card and die cut.
The ribbon is a beautiful brown and beige.
Not a colour combination I use mch but I like it for this card!

It’s distressing!

It’s distressing!

First time using distressing today.

I used lavender and brick red distress inks on the edge of the LOTV die cut. I used textured paper and used the two distress inks on them. I ripped the edges of the smaller paper.

I couldn’t get a very good photo of the flowers I put together. They are made of two layers of petals which I highlighted with the distress inks and then pink glitter glue. I put them together with glossy accents and added a pearl embellishment to the middle.

Glamorous gardening

Glamorous gardening

A second card tonight. This is for a friend who loves gardening.

The card layout is based on one I saw on Create and Craft TV- I’m afraid I can’t remember who was making it to give them credit!!
The backing paper is lilac with some sky blue and isn’t showing up too well here but it is lush! It is from Snowman papers. The sky blue and lilac card is from stash. The lilac ribbons were cut out of clothes and saved! The sky blue butterfly embellishment is from stash.

This is another great LOTV die cut. Once again I have added some colours to get a better match to the card I decided to add grass, leaves and some more lilac on the flowers. I also added the sky blue ribbon to the hat to match the card.

In the red!

I thought I’d go for something a bit simpler today!

The paper was made using Craft Artist. The sentiment was a freebie and I added a couple of buttons from my stash. I added some red and white stickles to the LOTV die cut.

Lilac, blue red and coral??

Lilac, blue red and coral??

I decided to use these cute bears and attempt to get all 4 colours for a challenge into my card. Not a combination I would have tried so it was a real challenge!
I used colour picker on Craft Artist to make some matching papers to the inspiration photo and added the purple background paper from stash.

I used a lovely LOTV die ctu but recoloured some sections to match the colour scheme and added some sky blue stickles.

I made my snowflake embellishments. The central snowflake was created on Craft artist and printed. Then I used my snowflake punh on it, some lilac glittery paper and some coral paper. I then layered them at angles.
