Wee dreamy dragon recuperates

Wee dreamy dragon recuperates

This is a get well card for a friend recuperating from an operation. I was inspired by this photo and colour scheme from the Fun with Shapes and More challenges.

The colours were perfect for the little wee dragon and I loved the photo so much I wanted to use the elements to make some papers in Craft Artist.

I used the colour matching on the software to get the right colours for the papers. I added a starfish motif to the background paper and coloured it orange. I then used a waves and chevron paper recoloured to match the challenge pallette. I layered onto shimmery mango card from my stash and coloured all the edges and sponged the edges of the card with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink.

I added sweetheart bloom flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and flower gems from stash.
The Dreamy Dragon image is from Wee Stamps and I coloured it with Promarkers. I added a touch of glitter to the middle of the flowers using my Sakura Glitter Pen. I painted the sky using alcohol blending solution to get a sky effect and then painted colouds using my new Molotow white acrylic pen.

I also made the inside. Using Craft Artist meant I could save ink and money by digitally layering the inside.

This is a get well card I made for a friend. He is a bit of a foodie and I knew he wasn’t keen on the hospital food so I used two Paper Shelter digis and designed the papers using Craft Artist.

I made spaghetti paper to add some texture and match the theme! He is Italian so I had to go with Italian food!!

I inked the edges of the card with black pearlescent inks. I accidentally smudged the inside of the card so I used black pearlescent ink and dabbed it all over with a piece of kitchen towel to disguise it. A rather happy accident as I may use the technique again!! I used red pearlescent ink to highlight the red sections of my image.

Pretty in pink

A friend is about to have an operation so this is for her.

I used a LOTV die cut and distressed the background and added perfect pearls (doing the same to the edges of my card and layers). The background paper is Nitwits (as is the card inside) teamed with a flourish paper I made.

Used a lovely pink ribbon which I added glimmer mist and pearlescent paint to. I absolutely love the embellishment- very vintage. I used textured card underneath and a MS flower punch to make the border.

This is the paper and frame I used inside from Nitwits Beraly Mine

 This is the whole thing.

This card is for an inspirational lady who has been battling cancer.

I colour matched and printed my papers. I used a LOTV die cut on some dark blue shiny card from stash and I used a MS butterfly punch for rhe top.

I printed matched paper for the back of the card. I used Craft Artist to make the paper with a lace and flower frame and added a white frame in the centre to write my message on.

This is the card base. I typed and printed my sentiment “Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves”. I layered fabric flowers, placed flower pins through the middle and bent them round before attching them to the card.
